REPEAT…
Have you ever felt like the to-do list never ends?!
Ladies, I definitely have the “Woe is me!” attitude wash over me from time to time. Then, I remind myself to soak in the fact that God never rests either! A woman’s work never ends. And, many of you are feeling the same way!
When our lives are in an “At Home” stage, we must fight the desire to wish for something more while knowing that our tireless efforts are blessing so deeply those around us. Meals, clean clothes, a comfortable home, and a warm embrace are fueling our families to continue tomorrow with the next thing. Our mundane has deeper purpose. We can allow it to wash over us with a drowning effect, or we can remember the life-giving water that it is to those we love and care for. There is great purpose and power in your willingness to joyfully fold one more load of laundry and clean up from one more meal. No one can reach the mountaintop without taking mundane footstep after mundane footstep, enough mundane footsteps to get you there!
Our heart is being carefully watched and emulated by our children. They respond to their mundane tasks with similar responses to what they have learned watching us! May our children see joyful hearts, willingness to serve even when tired and determination to do even the mundane to the best of our ability.
Press on, my Sisters! God is offering you a refreshing drink from the pools of the mundane as you are his beacon of purpose and power to those that are watching you!
